Blooming

On my first visit to Los Angeles I fell in love with all the flowers tucked everywhere in this city. But, despite our warm weather, sometimes certain flowers, like these small yellow blooms, are only around for a couple of weeks before they die off. I suppose the flowers match Hollywood: When something old begins fading, something new emerges, eager to take over the spotlight.

Interesting analogy. I must say, you're giving me lots of new perspectives on LA, a place I don't know much about (in the inner workings sense of it).

Jen,
There's so much more to this city than what even I expected. And, ten years into living here, I feel like I'm seeing it through fresh eyes!

Oh, ouch. OUCH.
I'm faded. Looks like it's curtains for me.

Heart,
You and me both! I know I'm considered "old" in LA when those club promoters that hang out on the street don't even try to give me one of their little pluggers!
